The National Meteorological Service (SMN) issued this Wednesday a yellow alert for storms for some areas of Salta, Jujuy, Formosa, Chaco, Santiago del Estero, Córdoba, La Rioja, San Juan, San Luis and Mendoza; while in Chubut, Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego there is a warning of the same level but due to winds.
According to the agency’s daily report, the affected areas in Salta are General José de San Martín, Yungas de Iruya, Orán and Santa Victoria, Rivadavia, Anta, General Güemes, La Candelaria, Metán, Rosario de la Frontera; while in Jujuy the mountainous area of Doctor Manuel Belgrano, Humahuaca, Tilcara and Tumbaya, El Carmen, Ledesma, Palpalá, San Antonio, San Pedro, Santa Bárbara, Valle Grande and the lower area of Doctor Manuel Belgrano and Tilcara.
In Formosa it will affect the area of Bermejo, Matacos, Ramón Lista and Patiño; as well as in the northwest area of Almirante Brown and General Güemes, Maipú, and the southeast of Almirante Brown and General Güemes, in Chaco.

The yellow level of alerts indicates “preparation”, since “meteorological phenomena with a capacity for damage and risk of momentary interruption of daily activities may be possible.”
Regarding the alert in Santiago del Estero, the SMN delimited the area in Figueroa, west of Alberdi, Copo and Moreno, Pellegrini, east of Alberdi, Copo and Moreno, Aguirre, Avellaneda, Belgrano, General Taboada, Juan F. Ibarra, Mitre, Quebrachos, Rivadavia, Salavina, Sarmiento, Atamisqui, Banda, Capital, Choya, Loreto, Ojo de Agua, Robles, San Martín and Silípica.
the same will happen in the departments of Ischilín, Río Seco, Sobremonte, Tulumba, Río Primero, Río Segundo, Tercero Arriba, the lower area of Colón and Totoral, Punilla, the mountain area of Colón, Ischilín, Santa María, Totoral, Calamuchita and Río Cuarto, in the province of Córdoba; and in the areas of General Juan Facundo Quiroga, General San Martín and Rosario Vera Peñaloza, in La Rioja.
In San Juan, the meteorological phenomenon will affect the area of 25 de Mayo, Angaco, Caucete, San Martín and Valle Fértil; while the province of San Luis will have its entire territory under this alert.
Finally in Mendozathe agency issued the notice for the eastern area of Las Heras, La Paz, Lavalle, San Martín, Santa Rosa, Junín, Rivadavia, valleys of Luján de Cuyo, San Carlos, Tunuyán and Tupungato, General Alvear and the lower zone of San Rafael.
Meanwhile, the wind alert may be registered in the area of the Río Senguer plateau, in the province of Chubut; and in the Cordillera of Lago Buenos Aires, Río Chico, Güer Aike and Lago Argentino, on the plateau of Corpen Aike, Güer Aike, Lago Argentino and Río Chico, as well as on the coast of Corpen Aike.
