Katy Ugarte (Bloque Magisterial) and Janet Rivas (Perú Libre) also aspired to the third vice presidency of Congress, who did not manage to access the second round.
Altercations were recorded during plenary session
In the development of the plenary session on Thursday 11, there were altercations between parliamentarians, for which the president of Congress, Lady Camones, had to suspend the session.
One of the brawls was carried out by the Popular Action congresswoman María del Carmen Alva and the spokeswoman for Cambio Democrático. The former head of the Board of Directors lost the papers and pulled Cortez Aguirre when she approached Wilson Soto’s seat.
“She told me not to get on her bench. I told him I don’t have to go. I have the right to approach any congressman who needs it. That’s where she loses her papers, ”revealed the parliamentarian of Cambio Democrático to the press.
