Alcohol, recklessness and helmets “protecting” elbows is equal to 5 deaths in 24 hours

The accidents were recorded in Central, Itapúa and Alto Paraná, respectively, and share the same observations regarding the recklessness committed by the victims, which determined fatal outcomes.

So far the campaigns for the use of protective helmets as well as the campaign not to drive under the influence of alcohol have not had the desired effect.

A significant number of motorcyclists, faced with the possibility of being fined for not wearing helmets, carry these protectors, but “shoes” on their elbows, an image well known for being part of the daily routine exhibited by the “motoqueiros”.

The other list of fined that is reproduced weekly in an almost mathematical way, is that of those who drive under the influence of alcohol. The average number of fines per week currently ranges between 300 to 350, according to records from the Caminera.
