The ex-president Alberto Fujimoriwho is serving a prison sentence for crimes committed during his term, was transferred this Thursday, March 3, to a hospital from the Barbadillo prison.
Fujimori was rushed to Hospital II Vitarte for treatment. Later, he was referred to the Centenario Clinic.
“He did a pulmonary defibrillation picture, he was desaturating, unable to compensate, it was decided to take him to the Essalud de Ate hospital, the transfer to another center was very long”detailed Congressman Alejandro Aguinaga, from Fuerza Popular, the former president’s primary care physician.
“Now he has been compensated and will be transferred to the Centenario Clinic where he will be admitted to the ICU”he added.
It should be remembered that, in October 2021, Alberto Fujimori was transferred from the Barbadillo prison to a clinic and, subsequently, underwent cardiac surgery that required him to be admitted to an intensive care bed (ICU).
Subsequently, the former president returned to the aforementioned prison, something that according to the now Prime Minister, Aníbal Torres, and then Minister of Justice and Human Rights, motivated the departure of Susana Silva as head of the National Penitentiary Institute (INPE).
