This Friday, Alberto Fernandez will travel to the city of Santa Fe Cañada de Gómez to reactivate a metropolitan passenger train that remained out of service for 45 years.
President will participate in the inaugural act of the railway line that will depart with two daily services, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon, from Rosario to Cañada de Gómez, from where Alberto Fernandez will officially reactivate the service.
During the event, Alberto Fernandez He will be accompanied by the Minister of Transportation, Alexis Guerrera, the Governor of Santa Fe, Omar Perotti; the Secretary of National Transport, Diego Giuliano, and local authorities.
From the National Commission for Transport Regulation they reported that the service will be active from next Monday and will have six intermediate stops in the Rosario neighborhood of Fisherton and the towns of Funes, Roldán, San Jerónimo, Carcarañá and Correa.
In this regard, Giuliano assured that “recovering a train in a metropolis is making it closer, allowing citizens to live in one place and work in another, to be able to go to the doctor or study without having to move.”
And he added “hopefully this train can be useful and can be used, it will also have an economic rate to be able to promote it”, with which it is expected that there will be a greater reactivation in the region.
The cost of the ticket for the entire section will be 120 pesos, while for the intermediate stations it will be less. It is estimated that 2,000 passengers will travel daily between the 71 kilometers that separate the Rosario Norte and Cañada de Gómez stations.
