President Albert Fernandez announced this Monday the extension of the term of the pension moratorium, sanctioned in 2014 and that due next saturdayuntil Congress passes a new law.

“Today I met with Fernanda Raventa to analyze the situation of retirees in Argentina and the measures to be taken due to the expiration of the period of the pension moratorium sanctioned in 2014,” Fernández published on his Twitter account,

“The pension moratorium was an essential policy in our country to ensure that millions of older women can access their retirement“, Expanded the president in a thread on that social network.

And he announced: “That is why we made the decision to extend his term until Congress passes a new law“.

In this way, we reinforce our commitment to guarantee that all older people, after a lifetime of work, can access their retirement”, completed the Head of State.

On June 2 last, the deputy Gisela Marchiotta (Frente de Todos) presented a bill to extend the moratorium on retirement for women who are over 60 years old but lack the 30 years of contributions to access the pension system.
