The defense attorney for Aida Merlano and her daughter Aida Victoria confirmed the return to Colombia, of the ex-parliamentary sentenced for electoral crimes on the Caribbean coast and escaped in October 2019.
Miguel Angel del Rio announced that he will travel in the next few hours to Caracas, in order to carry out all the procedures for his extradition to Colombia.

The lawyer’s statements were delivered to the magazine Cambio, just a few hours after Aida Victoria was sentenced in the first instanceto seven years and 5 months in prison, for helping her mother to escape from a dental office, in the north of Bogotá.
“Tomorrow I leave for Caracas, I’m going to bring Aída mother, I’ll be looking for a way to bring her. All the possibilities are given so that Aída can come here to tell all the truths,” Del Río said.
It should be remembered that, in February of this year, Merlano Rebolledo showed his intention to return to Colombia to answer for the sentence of 15 years in prison, for electoral corruption.

At that time, the former parliamentarian also announced that I was going to turn on the fan and splash several politicians in the Atlantic, which, according to what she says, had to do with the corruption of the voter for which she was convicted.
