The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) announced this Wednesday that the agro-exporters they will receive tax incentives according to the amount of products they acquire from small farmers.
In a press conference after the Council of Ministers, the head of the sector, Óscar Zea, also revealed that businessmen will train producers so that they can participate in the international market.
“Our agro-exporting brothers are going to teach how to sell in the international market the products they produce, which are grown by our small farmers, but in exchange for incentives. The head of Midagri assured that the Executive Branch will also provide more technology to the workers in the sector, within the framework of the Second Agrarian Reform.
“The State has a serious commitment to provide technology, which means participating in the entire production process. Then we will lead with everyone and with all this important reform”, he pointed out.
