The agricultural cargo carriers and agricultural producers reached an agreement with the government authorities and began the transfer of merchandise from the Highlands to the different markets of the country.

The transporters and agricultural producers in Chiriquí, began a strike last Sunday, the demand for the freezing of fuel prices.

After the decision, several trucks full of food products travel from Tierras Altas, in Chiriquí, to the country’s capital to supply the markets with different agricultural products.

At the request of the agricultural producers of Chiriquí, the trucks are escorted by units of the Public Force, in order to guarantee that they arrive in Panama City without any problem.

In this way, in the usual places, Panamanians will be able to count on the legumes, vegetables and foods that they traditionally consume.
