“For us it is unfortunate, it is not a matter of reforms, it is a matter of political will, to enforce the law, it is a matter of the coherent and firm reaction that the Central Electoral Board must have to ensure that the law prevails” Potentini said.
On his side, the deputy for the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Radhames Camachotook the opportunity to appeal to the strengthening of compliance with the law, as well as to observe the activities of the Government.
“I believe that we must strengthen more, not only the aspirants of the parties, but also the activities of the Government. I repeatedly hear announcements made by government officials,” Camacho said.
Meanwhile, the deputy for the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), Soraya Suarezexpressed that this would be a good moment to put the necessary padlocks so that the norms that prohibit the political campaign at the wrong time are complied with.
“There are the agencies to sanction that have not done so either, it is a good time to create the framework with more locks and for those regulatory bodies that are the board and sanctioning that are the courts to do their job,” said the legislator.
