After two days of record temperatures, heat in Rio subsides

After two days in a row with temperature records, the temperature in Rio de Janeiro today (19) dropped a little, with the maximum reaching 35.1º Celsius (ºC), well below the temperature record yesterday (18) this summer, with more than 39ºC. The weather in the municipality was influenced by a high pressure system, which left the sky cloudy to clear, very hot and with no record of rain throughout the day. According to the Alerta Rio System, the winds ranged from light to moderate and temperatures were in decline compared to the previous day, with a minimum recorded of 22 °C at 4:45 am at Estação Alto da Boa Vista and a maximum of 35.1 °C. C at 12:15 pm at São Cristóvão Station, in the north of the city.

The highest thermal sensation today was 44.8ºC, recorded at 10:15 am, at the Santa Cruz meteorological station, in the west of Rio. This Tuesday, (18), the thermal sensation in the City of Rio de Janeiro surpassed the 50ºC.
