The vice president of the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (Cciap), Adolfo Fábrega, spoke this Friday, on Radio Panama, about the union’s statement regarding the situation in the country.
Fábrega not only emphasized the closures and protests, but also the transparency, corruption and lack of trust that prevails in Panama.
In the opinion of the vice president of the Chamber of Commerce, it is necessary that the three State organs consider the current situation as an important call, but above all a forceful one from the citizens towards a radical change without corruption and with transparency.
At the same time, he added that a statement from the Comptroller General, Gerardo Solís, is needed to incline us a little more towards confidence, which is totally lost. “We need the Comptroller’s Office, being that auditing entity, to take on an equally leadership role and be able not only to take action, but also to give the peace of mind of being aware of the situation,” he specified.
