Among the fatalities that COVID-19 continues to claim every day, this Sunday is the actor Fabio Restrepo, who in January had lost his son Andrés due to complications from the same virus.
Although the family has not directly clarified the issue, neither the actor nor his son would have been vaccinated against the virus.
Andrés Restrepo, the artist’s son, had diabetes and hypertension, so his complications did not give time for anything, and after a few days hospitalized, he died.
The news was received by Fabio Restrepo in the midst of an apparent recovery when he was also facing the virus, it is presumed that the loss caused the complications to reappear and he ended up in the ICU of the San Vicente hospital in Medellín for several days.
“Son, we will see each other in the presence of the eternal… it is only a matter of time”, The 62-year-old actor had written to his son.
Andres and Fabio had an anti-vaccine position, in May 2021 they received messages with insults and even threats, for speaking out and pointing “don’t kill us” to ask them not to force them to be vaccinated.
One of the last collaborations that the actors had done was in the web miniseries they produced, ‘Office of Sicarios’, and which Andrés described as “the dark world of corruption and its scope.”
