Active Covid cases rise to 523, after 102 new infections

The Ministry of Public Health notified this Wednesday through epidemiological bulletin 786, that 102 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of active cases to 523.

The report also indicates that the daily positivity is at 3.95% and the one of the last four weeks at 1.33%.

It adds that 4,149 tests were processed in the last 24 hours, of which 2,583 were for the first time and 1,566 were follow-up tests. Those processed since the disease began are 3,300,974, which implies 315,928 per million inhabitants.

The Health authorities do not report deaths, remaining since March of this year, at 4,376 the total.

They also point out that due to the pandemic that began in March 202067,432 people under the age of 20 have been infected with Covid.

Among the groups that the system notifies in contagion are health workers with 2,302 cases and pregnant women with 1,830 infections.
