Today the Chamber of Deputies will vote on the technical agreement reached with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and, while the votes seem to be divided, Victoria Tolosa Paz assured that the front of all yes it will support it.
Toulouse, member of the deputies bloc by the province of Buenos Aires, pointed out that, as the Government has foreseen, the proposal will have a partial sanction before it goes to the Senate, since the front of all I would support the president.
This, given the importance of closing the agreement with the body under the current economic conditions, on which the deputy of the front of all considers that the best possible negotiation was reached.
“We went down (to the Campus) to get this agreement approved because we are the ones who are going to get the IMF out of our lives“, he indicated, for which he also exalts that the Government seeks a way out of indebtedness.
For Tolosa, Alberto Fernández will be in charge of “debt” Argentina and give it back the economic “sovereignty” that it needs so much, because with the current debt it is impossible to recover it.
Regarding the deputies who have expressed their rejection of the proposal, Tolosa indicated that there are those who “fantasize about a clear departure and abstentions”, but that if the project is not approved “the scenario will be catastrophic” for the country.
The Government has sought the support of the Front of All for the vote
During the last few weeks, the president, together with the Minister of the Economy, Martín Guzmán, have sought all kinds of strategies to add as many votes as possible in favor.
This, since members of the official bloc they have expressed their rejection and would abstain from voting, or they would follow Máximo Kirchner and vote against the project.
In this way, Germán Martínez, today president of the FdT, has been a key player in adding votesbecause since he assumed the leadership of the bloc he promised the president that he would work so that the deputies give him their support.
Even Alberto Fernández himself would have met with several of the representatives so that the project today obtains, at least, 129 votes in favor, and the proposal is taken to the Senate.
