Abinader says effects of war exceed those of the pandemic

President Luis Abinader said this Friday in Constance that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has harmed the Dominican Republic more economically than the effects of the pandemic of COVID-19.

The ruler attributes the inflation that affects the products of the basic basket to that armed conflict.

He indicated that his management has had to make great efforts to subsidize fuels and thus mitigate the effects of the increases registered.

The head of state spoke of the international issue when delivering the main speech at the opening ceremony of the third edition of the Harvest Fair in Constance.

The participation of the ruler in that event is part of a work agenda that he develops this Friday in Cinstanza.

President’s Agenda

In addition to participating in the Harvest Fair, the Head of State plans to attend the inauguration of the Cibao Catholic University Campus (UCATECI) in Constanza, where he will be awarded a recognition by the scholarship recipients.

The ruler will also hold a meeting with evicted parceleros from Valle Nuevo, specifically the group that had 10 to 20 tasks, at the Caballistic Club.

He will make a supervision visit to the “First You” conference, of the General Directorate of Strategic and Special Projects of the Presidency (PROPEEP) at the Padre Fantino School, at the entrance of the city, near the square.

Likewise, President Abinader will lead the act of handing out the Supérate cards, at the Liceo Gastón Fernando Deligne.

Also, the ruler will have a meeting with nuns who will be given the resources to build a nursing home.

In addition, it will hold a meeting with 200 young entrepreneurs, professionals, athletes, civil and community society at the Constanza Sports Center.

President Abinader will lead the inauguration of the Tireo Multiple Aqueduct and the River area, which will benefit both communities in the municipality.
