A total of 17 activities led by the presidential candidate for the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) and current mayor of Santiago, Abel Martínez, in a tour of various sectors of the Santo Domingo Norte municipality, where he exchanged concerns with militants of the purple party, community leaders and, above all, with a broad representation of the youth of that demarcation.
In his speeches, Abel exhorted the PLD militancy to continue tracing the path of revocation that represents their political project, with the firm intention of doing things well for the benefit of all sectors of the country.
“I have no doubt that the PLD will return in 2024 because those who govern us, beyond 2024, represent a greater disaster for Dominicans; if we are living a present full of hardships, imagine what the future will be in their hands; and the worst thing is that there is no hope of improvement because every day they govern worse, only for a small group of businessmen and importers because for them the poor do not exist; The situation in the country is going from bad to worse.Martinez said.
The also member of the Political Committee (CP) argued that youth cannot stay out of politics, because “you are also interested in the country advancing and that they can have development opportunities; the great transformations are made from the positions of the State, creating efficient public policies and fulfilling what is promised”.
“Many of you are upset when you feel cheated, as this government has done, which promised not to raise food prices and raised them; who promised to help farmers and has turned his back on them; who promised to strengthen education and today the teachers have to go on strike because they are not listened to. It is a total disaster what this Government has that deceived you, your parents, your neighbors, selling itself from the Plaza de la Bandera as protagonists of a change in which not a single action of positive impact has been seen for the population”, expressed Abel Martínez.
