San Francisco de Macorís.- Given the call made by the Government to carry out a migratory pact with the presence of all the political parties, the presidential candidate of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Abel Martínez, urged President Luis Abinader to define internally what foreign policy he intends to implement.
“Many of the erroneous actions that this government implements are undoubtedly due to ignorance of the management of the State, but as for the immigration problem that drowns our country, it is even worse, because more than ignorance, it is a hypocritical action. that is constantly evidenced,” said Martínez.
Martínez reiterated that the Constitution clearly establishes that the country’s foreign policy is the exclusive responsibility of the President.

Speaking during the development of various activities carried out in San Francisco de Macorís, Martínez said that the current head of state must review his actions and stop playing with the intelligence of Dominicans when defending the most important interests of the nation.
“It is that we have a President who, on the one hand, says that he is going to curb illegal migration and, on the other, submits bills that leave much to be desired, reflecting the little will to assert our sovereignty and our identity. From this PRM government, everything is being done for the Haitianization of the country and they have the audacity to call for a pact when the same Constitution that he swore to comply with and enforce clearly tells him what he should do, ”he said.
Martínez criticized that at a time when border security and Dominican identity are most endangered, due to the situation in the neighboring country and the constant entry of illegal Haitians, it is when more visas have been issued to Haitian citizens, questioning even that they are they have even granted, while the Dominican consulates in Haiti are closed.
