A yellow alert is in force for “strong storms”

As announced by Inumet in its latest bulletin, a “cold front affects the country, generating storms, some occasionally strong.”

On the other hand, Meteorology highlights that “in stormy areas, intense rains may be recorded in short periods, occasional hail, intense electrical activity and strong gusts of wind” concludes the bulletin.

The main towns affected will be:

Cerro Largo: Arachania, Arbolito, Getulio Vargas, Lake Merín, Las Cañas, Plácido Rosas, Uruguay Town and Rio Branco. Rocha: July 18, Barra del Chuy, Cebollati, Chuy, La Coronilla and San Luis Al Medio. Thirty-Three : Arrocera Zapata, Arrozal Treinta y Tres, Ejido de Treinta y Tres, General Enrique Martínez, Mendizábal, Rincón, Treinta y Tres, Vergara and Villa Sara.
