A yellow alert is in force for strong storms and heavy rains in the center of the country

From 8:23 a yellow alert applies in the central zone of the country, informed the Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology (Inumet). As well the orange alert ceased that affected the department of Florida and part of Durazno, San José, Flores and Lavalleja.

In the areas compromised by the alert, “intense rains in short periods, occasional hail, intense electrical activity and strong gusts of wind”.

The alert covers a large part of the territory of Durazno and Florida, with sectors of Flores, Lavalleja, Cerro Largo, Treinta y Tres and Tacuarembo. It will be updated at 10:30 a.m., or in case of significant changes.

Long Hill: Arévalo, Cerro de las Cuentas, Esperanza, Fraile Muerto, Quebracho, Ramón Trigo, Toledo, Tres Islas and Tupambaé.

peach: Aguas Buenas, Blanquillo, Carlos Reyles, Carmen, Durazno, Feliciano, La Paloma, Las Palmas, Ombúes de Oribe, Pueblo de Álvarez, Rossell and Rius, San Jorge, Santa Bernardina and Sarandí del Yí.

flowers: Cerro Colorado, Ismael Cortinas, Juan José Castro, La Casilla and Trinidad. Florida : Alejandro Gallinal, Capilla del Sauce, Cerro Chato, Goñi, Nico Pérez and Sarandí Grande.

lavalleja: Aramendía, Illescas, José Batlle y Ordoñez, José Pedro Varela, Pirarajá, Polanco Sur and Zapicán.

Tacuarembo: Caraguata and San Gregorio de Polanco.

Thirty-three: Cerro Chato, Isla Patrulla, Maria Albina, Santa Clara de Olimar and Valentines.
