A 40-year-old construction worker was injured this Friday and was rushed to the Interzonal hospital in Mar del Plata, after being rescued by fire department personnel when he was trapped in the rubble after the wall of a construction site collapsed, police sources reported.
The incident occurred around 10 o’clock at the intersection of Teodoro Bronzini and 25 de Mayo streets, in the Buenos Aires seaside resort, where for reasons that are being established, a wall collapsed.
According to the sources, the worker was rescued from the slab of a first floor of the construction site and was transferred in an ambulance from the Emergency Medical Care System (Same) to the Interzonal hospital, the head of Civil Defense, Rodrigo Goncálvez, told the press.
“The experts will be in charge of determining the reasons why the wall gave way,” said the community official.
In the fact he had personal intervention of the Special Risks Unit of the Fire Department, Same, Civil Defense and the police of the province of Buenos Aires.
