A 31-year-old woman was murdered this Monday night in the Pérez Castellanos neighborhood, and three men were arrested for the events, sources from the Ministry of the Interior and the Montevideo Police Headquarters confirmed to The Observer.
The victim was found by the authorities around 11:00 p.m. this Monday in the streets Santiago Sierra and Olmedowith several “cuts” on the chest and neck.
The young woman was referred to Police Hospitalclose to the place of the events, but passed away around midnight Tuesdayreported Underlined (Channel 10).
The woman’s mother told authorities that the murder could be due to a “drug problem”they ratified from the capital headquarters.
Three men aged 24, 26 and 27 were arrested for the homicide, Interior detailed. The first two have criminal records (the 24-year-old has four), and all three live near the area.

Scientific police and the Investigations area of Operational Zone III are working on the case.
