The Municipal Secretary of Culture and Tourism promotes the Theater Cycle for World Theater Day, which will begin this Monday 21 and it will run until Sunday the 27th. There will be 24 works by 20 casts, which will be in charge of 21 directors. There will be 11 venues in six districts, with the participation of 70 artists. All functions are free.

Within the cycle there will be five university samples and three dramatized works, in addition to the Dramaturgy Workshop, which will be dictated by Jorge Calero. On Monday the 21st, the cycle will begin with ‘Ciudad Sitiada’, a work that the Bolivian Catholic University will mount on the stage of the Humberto Parada Caro paraninfo (Junín street # 151), at 4:00 p.m. Later, at 7:00 p.m., the Drama Workshop will begin, with Jorge Calero, at the Tía Ñola snack bar (532 Sucre Street).

On Tuesday 22, the workshop will continue, at 7:00 p.m., at Tía Ñola. And, at 8:30 pm, there will be a launch in the Plaza 24 de Septiembre, with the play ‘Los Piratas del Avión’, put together by Brújula Teatro. On Wednesday 23, ‘Cuentos Guarayos’ will be seen, at 4:00 p.m., at the Toro Toro Cultural Center (3rd Street, between Av. Cañada Pailita and Av. El Mechero, one block from Av. La Campana); the cast is Story Theater.

The University cast (Uagrm) proposes ‘Tu Realidad TV’, at 4:00 p.m., in the auditorium and the young people from Sotiria Teatro will do ‘La Última Jugada’, at 6:00 p.m., in the Villa Primero de Mayo Cultural Center ( 2nd and 3rd streets west). An hour later, Jorge Calero will do the dramatized reading of ‘Antropofagia’ at the Santa Cruz Plurinational Cultural Center (René Moreno Street # 369).

On Thursday 24, at 4:00 p.m., ‘Inomo’, by the Choboreca cast, will be presented. The function will be at the Oriental Cultural Center (radial 26, Picaflor Este street, Guapurú corner. And, also, at the same time it will be the turn of ‘Corazón Gordito’, with a performance by the Teatro Experimental Universitario (TEU); It will be in the paraninfo. Meanwhile, Areteatro will show all its talent in ‘Caperucita Floja’, at 4:00 pm, at the CCP.

At 18:00 they will see ‘Bad Girl’ (Villa Primero de Mayo Cultural Center) and ‘Monologues’ (CCP). The first work belongs to Zeus and the second is from Alquimia Producciones. At 7:00 p.m, Darío Torrez will do the dramatized reading of T’anta Almita at the CCP and, at 8:00 pm, Salamandra Teatro will offer ‘Música de Ascensor’ at Tía Ñola.
