The Department of Epidemiology in its daily report on the current situation of Covid-19 in Panama, indicates that to date 861,711 confirmed accumulated cases have been reported, of which 3,443 correspond to new positive cases today. For the last 24 hours, one death is reported and two from previous dates are updated for a total of 8,258 deaths and a lethality of 1.0%.
The total number of recovered people amounts to 824,347, of which 2,328 correspond to those recovered today. 15,649 tests were applied for a positivity of 22%.
Active cases throughout the country total 29,106, divided into 28,842 in home isolation and 264 hospitalized. Those in home isolation 28,800 are at home and 42 in hotels. The hospitalized 231 in the Ward and 33 in the ICU.
The districts with the highest number of positive cases today are: Juan Díaz 107; Betania 103, San Francisco and Bella Vista with 95. All in the district of Panama.
