Workers from the health sector under the CAS COVID-19 regime held a vigil this Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in the Tacna Cathedral in order to be transferred to the regular CAS, since for two months they have been working in areas that are not the that deal with the coronavirus.

The director of health Oscar Galdos Rodríguez confirmed that the budget for the COVID-19 contracts is only assigned until June 30 and they would stop working, which is why they have been requested to be renewed since they are still necessary because the pandemic has not finished.

“The request has been made to renew these CAS COVID-19 and it is expected that the necessary budget will reach us from the central level, because we already have a gap in human resources, this has helped us but many areas still need to be covered. ”, the manager noted.

He explained that up to 80% of the regular staff of health establishments have been incorporated after the licenses. “In the Health Directorate there are 350 workers, if we talk about the Health Network there are more than 2,100 workers; and in the Unanue hospital approximately 1,400 workers, so it is a good amount that we have distributed in the health sector”Galdos said.
