Our country celebrates a new Rural Worker’s Day. From different political stores, as well as from organizations, health was sent to rural workers on that day. In Uruguay, April 30 was declared as Rural Worker’s Day by law No. 19,000 of the year 2012. Since then, rural workers have a date to celebrate their day.
From the Rural Federation of Youth, the corresponding greeting was issued, holding the “recognition for those who work from sunrise to sunset, who have the best office and who carry out the production of the entire country.”
Meanwhile, Carolina Ache Batlle, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRREE), held; “On the day of the rural worker, our recognition and thanks to all those who, with their efforts, keep the engine running and the best traditions of our country.”
Likewise, Adrián Peña, Minister of the Environment, also greeted the rural workers, sending wishes for a “Happy day to the rural workers!” Meanwhile, the nationalist sector of Senator Sebastián da Silva greeted the rural workers in his day with a message of thanks to those who “move the wheel.”
Also from the National Institute of Agricultural Research (INIA), they greeted “The women and men who with their daily work claim the countryside as a source of opportunities for the country and for all Uruguayans. From INIA we salute the rural worker on his day!
From the Broad Front, wishes were also expressed for this day.
