The Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre, referred this Friday to the flexibility of the use of the mask and the lifting of the state of emergency, noting that a decision has not yet been made in this regard.

“The president did not promise, the president set a goal, but he is aware that in the end we have to see the biosecurity measures, we are doing everything possible to lift the measures, as the pandemic evolves, however At the time, he, with his entire team, will make a final decision if he considers it necessary and also, that it is opportune, ”he argued.

The head of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) said that it should be borne in mind that the pandemic is changing, so a permanent analysis is maintained to know when to carry out these surveys.

He indicated that the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) have not yet lifted the state of emergency worldwide. “We meet every week and talk, but the decision has not been made,” Sucre said.

He reiterated that the behavior of vaccination is being observed in other countries, and the health authorities meet weekly with the pharmaceutical company Pfizer, who will be in charge of supplying us with pediatric doses.

He anticipated that this vaccination is planned, approximately for the month of March, to guarantee the school program.
