The Evita Movement held this Saturday the 6th national congress of its group at the Argentinos Juniors micro-stadium, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of La Paternalwhere a video was shown with messages of greeting and support from President Alberto Fernández, the Chief of Staff, Juan Manzur, the Minister of the Interior, Eduardo ‘Wado’ de Pedro, and the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Sergio Massa, and union leaders.
The video with the compilation of greetings, among which were also the heads of the CGT, Héctor Daer, and Pablo Moyano, was broadcast this Saturday night on the Twitter social network account of the Evita Movement, whose national congress was closed by Emilio Pérsico as leader of the social movement.

While, Massa said: “A huge hug and a lot of strength for what is to come and the future”while Manzur thanked the invitation to participate.
Daer, meanwhile, said: “I want to send you the strength to get ahead and to continue building a fairer country,” while the head of Aysa, Malena Galmarini, wanted “more congresses.”
Meanwhile, the Minister of the Interior, “Wado” De Pedro stressed: “To continue militating for a free, just and sovereign homeland.”
Moyano, for his part, congratulated the Evita Movement for “all the social work, for the resistance and for the struggle, because we have to continue fighting to defend our government against the right that wants to return to the country.”
The document issued by the congress of the social movement stated that “Our commitment to a political space for popular organizations, workers and producers seeks only one thing: to strengthen the Frente de Todxs, to strengthen the unity of more and more sectors” so that “2023 is not remembered as the year in which neoliberalism returned to government”, but “the year in which the unity of Peronism once again demonstrated that it has the capacity to govern Argentina and build national unity in favor of the great popular majorities”.
They also argued that “The institutionalization of the Evita Movement has to do with the enormous growth we have had in recent years and the need to develop a comprehensive power strategy.”
Likewise, the text stated in this sense that “in addition to having the center in the popular power and the organization of the people, it also implies the institutionalization of our electoral political participation, the reaffirmation of the union construction in the UTEP and the articulation and establishment of productive alliances with economic, social, union and religious sectors that exist and build our country every day”.
“The way out cannot be in the hands of traditional politics alone, it has to be an agreement starring the real actors of the real Argentina”they warned in the document.
On the other hand, they pointed out in the text that “we need Peronism to be the political space that talks about today’s problems and can solve them without giving more excuses” and affirmed that “our people need us: if we continue hurting our unity and vetoing Those of us who think differently are not up to their needs”.
As reported in a statement, the meeting was attended by 2,570 congressmen from all provinces, who were voted in each of the provincial congresses and previously debated in more than six regional pre-congresses.
During the closing speech, the Secretary of Social Economy in the Ministry of Social Development, Persico, maintained that “the popular movements are going to be part of the construction of an alternative model.”
The Evita congress signed the bases for action in the coming years and, in this sense, they pointed out that “internal democracy, the debate of ideas and the protagonism of the militancy in the construction of definitions is a very precious asset for our organization”.
After several hours, the congress fulfilled the objective of “defining a new organic structure in keeping with the times, electing our authorities and consolidating the strategic definitions of our movement.”
Participated in the act, in addition to Pérsico and the secretary of Parliamentary Relations of the Chief of Staff, Fernando ‘Chino’ Navarro; the national deputy of the Frente de Todos, Leonardo Grosso, and the mayor of Moreno, Mariel Fernández, among others.
In addition to the leaders of the organization, the Congress was attended by other leaders from different organizations in the popular field such as Juan Grabois, Juan Carlos Alderete and Daniel “Chuki” Menéndez.
A few days ago, the social movements came out to claim their role, after Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner stated at a CTA meeting held in Avellaneda that the State should audit employment programs to avoid “outsourcing”, which caused a debate within the Frente de Todos (FdT) in relation to the role played by social organizations in assisting the most neglected social sectors.
