EsSalud will allocate S/ 165 million to the purchase of medical equipment to strengthen health services

The will allocate more than S/ 165 million for the purchase of state-of-the-art medical equipment that will strengthen health care in various hospitals nationwide, for the benefit of the insured population.

Devices include, for example, modern CT and ultrasound scanners used in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer and other diseases, as well as pump-based hemodialysis machines to provide therapeutic treatment to patients suffering from chronic kidney damage.

The acquisition of mobile X-ray equipment, called C-arc, is also planned, which allows the identification of various anomalies in the anatomical structures of the body and is also used to perform highly complex surgeries.

The list also includes the purchase of digital mammographs, devices necessary for the prevention of breast cancer, as well as a magnetic resonator and linear accelerators (used in radiotherapy for cancer patients).

It has also been planned to acquire angiographs and an extracorporeal circulation machine, equipment used to perform complex cardiovascular surgeries, which will be used to care for patients in cardiology services, surgical centers and intensive care units (ICU).

Likewise, multiparameter monitors to control cardiac function, respiratory rate, oxygen level, blood pressure and body temperature of patients, between children and adults, who are hospitalized in critical areas (ICU, NICU, ICU, emergency, etc. ).
