A Fulton County, Georgia, Special Grand Jury issued subpoenas to seven individuals, including Rudy Giuliani, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina), and conservative attorney John Eastman as part of an investigation into former President Trump.
In addition to Giuliani, Graham and Eastman, who helped build the legal case to try to overturn the 2020 election, there are subpoenas for host Jacki Pick Deason and campaign legal advisers Kenneth Chesebro, Jenna Ellis and Cleta Mitchell.
The Special Grand Jury is linked to an investigation launched by District Attorney Fani Willis into whether there were attempts to illegally influence the 2020 election by Trump and his allies.
The grand jury is interested in hearing from Giuliani, he said in his subpoena, because he was “a leading advocate for the Trump campaign’s legal efforts seeking to influence the results of the November election in Georgia and other states.”

The text contends that Giuliani has unique insight into communications between himself, former President Trump, his campaign, and other known and unknown individuals involved in coordinated multi-state efforts to influence the results of the November 2020 election. .
In Graham’s subpoena, they mentioned that Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensberger (R) and his staff had received at least two phone calls from the senator after the 2020 election.
“During phone calls, the witness questioned Secretary Raffensperger and his staff about re-examining certain absentee ballots cast in Georgia to explore the possibility of a more favorable outcome for former President Donald Trump,” the subpoena reads.
The subpoenas come in the context of public hearings by the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot. The Committee has sought to show, among other things, that former President Trump and his allies created a pressure campaign on former Vice President Pence and other officials with the goal of rejecting the results of the 2020 election.
