Witness protection program was postponed for 15 days

The Chamber of Senators was supposed to deal with bills related to the protection of witnesses and economic incentives for those who denounce acts of corruption in item 7 of the Agenda. However, they were postponed for 15 days on the motion of Senator Hugo Richer of the Guasu Front.

This is the bill “That encourages and rewards the whistleblower of acts of corruption.” From the bill “Protection for whistleblowers and witnesses in cases of corruption”. And of the bill “That establishes the protection program for witnesses, victims, collaborators of justice and other subjects involved in criminal proceedings.”

The first of them established that the denouncer is left with 10% of the patrimonial damage returned by the public official who has committed a proven act of corruption.
