The head of the interbloc of senators of the Frente de Todos (FdT), José Mayans, was elected as president of the Bicameral Commission for Monitoring and Control of the Foreign Debt of Congress, the organism that must monitor the indebtedness contracted by Argentina.
According to what was agreed, the deputy of Together for Change Luciano Laspina will assume as vice president of the bodymade up of senators and deputies from the main political forces.
At the meeting, Mayans announced that he will provide information to the members of the commission sent by the Central Bank and the Securities Commission and that the Secretary of Finance, Rafael Brigo, and the president of the Central Bank, Miguel Pesce, will be invited to speak.
Laspina declared, for his part, that “it is good news to start working not only on the external debt but also on the internal one” since “there is much to discuss” and considered that “it is a good time to start debating the problems of indebtedness of Argentina, those of before and those of now”.
“We owe the people the ability to prepare reliable information that was given in Argentina and the relationship with capital flight”said deputy Itai Hagman, secretary of the commission.
