Before entering the Cabinet meeting that took place this morning at the Casa Rosada, the Minister of Security, Aníbal Fernández, assured several local media that there will soon be a solution to the problem of shortage of gasoil.

The official stated that, although the issue is not his domain, the provision of gas in the coming days and that, in several regions of the country, the supply of gasoil It is normal.

The Minister of Health assured that work is being done to solve the problem.

“The problems with the lack of gasoil They will be resolved in the next few days. There are some cities in the country where the issue is already resolved“, indicated the minister who assured that the purchases of “fuel have already been made”, but did not dare to give an exact date on when the problem would be solved.

However, the politician was honest and declared that the purchase should have started earlier: “the purchases have been made. Supply is limited in some areas of the country.

Although the problem of shortages began more than three months ago, it was aggravated by the war between Russia and Ukraine, since fuel prices skyrocketed due to the conflict, making it difficult to purchase.

In the case of Argentina, the local production of gasoil not enough to supply the domestic market; therefore, it requires importing large quantities and, given the difficulty of doing so, the fuel became scarce in much of the country, which led to a strike of carriers since last week.
