López and his girlfriend, Roxana García Lorenzo, Andy’s sister, were on their way to their workplaces when they were intercepted by a State Security agent, he told a direct on Facebook Roxana.
García Lorenzo explained that as if they were criminals they detained him, and she waits outside the provincial Criminal Investigations and Operations Unit. “We don’t know why” reason, added Roxana.
“At the moment I am super watched by State Security agents who are watching me and have already called my attention on the phone. Jonathan López has been active with his family denouncing human rights violations in Cuba since the regime arrested his brother-in-law, Andy García, for participating in the anti-government protests on July 11, 2021.

He and his family maintain an initiative called Help for the Brave of 11J, through which they provide support to the mothers and relatives of the political prisoners of the Castro regime.
