In addition, he announced that in March 2022 it is planned to develop the first international investment forum in the Dominican Republic.
“We are going to see agendas and organize a historic forum for the Americas, America needs investment and America needs jobs and there is no better place to invest than in the Dominican Republic. That is what I am saying to everyone, to the members when they ask me. We are very excited to have partners as strong, professional, friendly and interesting as the Dominican Republic ”, said Pololikashvili, UNWTO executive.
When participating virtually in the fifth edition of the Asonahores “Tourism Investment Forum”, Zurab Pololikashvili said that they have thought about making a guide on why the investor should invest in the Dominican Republic.
“In March I believe that, if we put in all the effort, we can hold a historic forum in the Dominican Republic. there we have the banks, we have a Ministry, we have a private sector, we have an excellent President of the Republic who knows more than other presidents of the world what is the importance of tourism for the economy and for the country, “said the UNWTO representative.
He stressed that during his first term in his different trips worldwide, he never saw in any country the closeness that exists between the private sector and the Dominican government.
“I believe that the Dominican Republic is the only country in the world where banks are directly supporting tourism development like this, it is the only country in the world where banks make a report on sustainability in tourism, that never happens anywhere and I want to say to my dear Samuel Pereyra and Banco Popular that we are going to host this project as a pilot for other countries. To teach him and explain how to attract the banking sector to the side of the tourism sector that needs financing and support ”, he indicated.
