THE VEGA. – The Ministry of Public Works and Communications began this Monday the construction work on the Arroyo Hondo-Cutupú highway, with a length of 6.7 kilometers and which connects Río Verde Arriba with the Ramón Cáceres highway, in Moca, which had been promised by President Luis Abinader.

The Deputy Minister of Road Infrastructure of the MOPC, Roberto Herrera, in a tour of several works in the province of La Vega, said that these are started following instructions from President Abinader and the Minister of Public Works, Deligne Ascención.

He stated that the construction of the bridge over the Verde River in the community of La Vereda will require an investment of more than 35 million pesos, and will be delivered at the end of next month.

He also said that the works in the market of the municipality of La Vega are in their final phase. “This project, in the month of October, will be received by Minister Ascención, and the work will be inaugurated by President Abinader,” he advanced.
