The mayor of the Buenos Aires party of La Matanza, Fernando Espinoza, decreed a bonus for former beneficiaries of the IFE (Emergency Family Income) arranged by the national government during the worst moments of the coronavirus pandemic.
In this sense, the Ministry of Social Development of La Matanza will allocate a bonus ten thousand pesos to people who previously received the IFE. Meanwhile, the benefit will not be in cash but will be received in the form of a shopping voucher.
In this way, the mayor of said Municipality ordered the extraordinary payment for the neighbors who no longer have the IFE, but they need the financial support of the State to face the crisis.
In this regard, sources from the local portfolio told Ámbito Financiero that It is an “emergency food aid and housing improvement program, in the context of the post-pandemic”.
Likewise, the Socioeconomic Recovery and Strengthening Program was launched “from the decree issued by Mayor Fernando Espinoza” and contemplates “the acquisition of Basic Food Basket Products,” the official statement reported.
How to access the local IFE
The local authorities indicated that, “in order to access said aid, a prior evaluation by social workers and Social Development officials is necessary.” In turn, unlike the national IFE, La Matanza will give it as a vouchet so that the money can boost the party’s economy.
However, it will be received by those people who have charged emergency payment in the three instances during 2020, for the same amount of ten thousand pesos. On those occasions, the Government accompanied 8.9 million citizens.
At the time, the IFE It was collected by informal workers, private households, social monotaxists and monotributistas of categories A and B, in addition to unemployed people throughout the country.
