Luis Paradela, the Cuban who wonders in Costa Rica

El delantero de 24 años, internacional con Cuba, vive el mejor momento de su carrera en Santos de Guápiles, con quien busca el título del Apertura tico.

Louis paradela is one of the great names of the end of the tournament Opening on Coast delicious. For its remarkable performance in Saints of Guápiles, for the decisive goals he scored in the final leg of the regular season and for his brilliant double against Alajuelense in the first leg of the semifinals.

The 24-year-old Cuban striker, international with his country, is undoubtedly experiencing the best moment of his career. He has seven goals this season and five of them he has achieved in the last four games. After participating in two friendly matches with the selection of Cuba came back confidently and scored two goals against Saint Charles and another one in front of Carthaginian. However, he had saved the best to overtake his team in the tie against one of the greats of the country. There he left two superb goals in which he left samples of his speed and class to define.

In his career he had not found a certain stability until now. His first steps in professional football were in the reserve league of the MLS, at Reno 1868. Then soon he was off to The Savior, where he never finished adapting, not even in Jocoro not months later in Chalatenango. There appeared Saints of Guápiles to offer him an opportunity in a more competitive football in which he soon left samples of his talent. In his first season he scored four goals and in this he has greatly improved his figures.

He is already considered the best Cuban in Tico football and that has significant competition with Marcel Hernández, another forward with great figures in recent years and who was precisely measured although he appeared as a substitute in Alajuelense. “We got an important victory, the team played a great game, in the end we won and came out with our heads up, for Sunday’s game we are going to go with the same disposition, we know that victory gives us the pass,” he declared after winning 3-2 and have an advantage on the return.

The Jamaican also deserves a special mention Javon East, who assisted in the three goals of Saints and although he did not score it was a nightmare for the rival defense. In this campaign his scoring performance has dropped significantly but he remains a key figure of the team.
