COVID-19: Mexico accumulates more than 9,000 infections for the third day in a row

Although the Undersecretary of Health, Hugo López-Gatell, assures that the country is not going through a fifth wave of the virus, authorities in some localities have already taken measures in the face of the rise in cases.

In Baja California, the state that leads the top with the highest number of active COVID cases, announced the suspension of classes as of June 23.

While in San Luis Potosí, Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona reported that the use of face masks would once again be mandatory in the entity.

The SSa report points out that the 10 entities with the most accumulated confirmed cases are: Mexico City, State of Mexico, Nuevo León, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Tabasco, San Luis Potosí, Veracruz, Puebla and Sonora, which together make up 64 % of all cumulative cases registered in the country.
