IGP-10 registers inflation of 0.74% in June, says FGV

The General Price Index – 10 (IGP-10), measured by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), registered inflation of 0.74% in June this year, higher than the 0.10% in May. As a result, the IGP-10 accumulates rates of 8.53% in the year and 10.40% in 12 months.IGP-10 registers inflation of 0.74% in June, says FGV

The increase in the rate from May to June was driven by the three sub-indices that make up the IGP-10. The Broad Producer Price Index (IPA), which measures wholesale, went from a deflation (price drop) of 0.08% in May to an inflation of 0.47% in June.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI), which measures retail, went from 0.54% to 0.72% in the period. The National Construction Cost Index (INCC) rose from 0.74% to 3.29%.
