CDMX activates rain alerts; supermarket roof falls due to hail

The accumulation of hail caused the fall of a tin roof of the Soriana self-service store located on Avenida Revolución and Caravaggio, Colonia San Juan, in Benito Juárez.

According to the Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection, there were no injuries in the aforementioned supermarket.

In the face of the rains, the authority recommended that the population carry an umbrella or a raincoat and not throw grease or garbage down the drain.

Also sweep drains and keep them free of garbage or objects that obstruct them, and do not pour grease down the drain.

In addition to avoiding traveling on roads with puddles or flooded; drive carefully, as tree debris or dragged or knocked down objects can be found, and stay away from places near walls, trees, power cables and billboards at visible risk of falling.
