The victory represented the biggest title of the athlete’s career from São Paulo and will place the tennis player among the 40 best in the world in the next update of the ranking. In the tournament played on grass, Bia Haddad won five victories, including the Greek Maria Sakkari (fifth in the world with the number seven seed in the championship).

The Brazilian still has the final of the doubles tournament ahead of her. This Sunday, alongside Chinese Shuai Zhang, she faces American Caroline Dalohide and Romanian Monica Niculescu.
