Santo Domingo.- The former president of the Republic and president of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Danilo Medina and the secretary general, Charlie Mariotti, will lead this Sunday the swearing-in ceremony for 19,000 new militants of that organization, in North Santo Domingo.
The activity is scheduled to start at 10:00 in the morning, at the Sabana Perdida Multipurpose Center, on Charles de Gaulle Avenue.
A statement from the PLD Communications Secretariat indicates that the act will take place in an atmosphere of order, organization and discipline.
Medina will swear
Medina, former president of the Republic for two consecutive periods (2012-2020), will take the oath of the new members of the organization.
He will also deliver the central speech of the act that will be broadcast through the PLD digital platforms, for the leaders and militants scattered throughout the national territory.

The press document of the political organization indicates that it is the third act of this nature carried out by the PLD under the name of “Adding Stars” in recent weeks.
He says that it is “a line of work that brings hope to homes in current times, which need it so much.”
The activity was organized by leaders of the PLD in Santo Domingo Norte. Media and Mariotti will be accompanied by other leaders, members of the PLD Political Committee.
