Before reaching the entertainment world that has led her to be one of the most recognized Colombian presenters, Carolina Cruz lived her adolescence among the world of sports in her native Cali.
In her most recent book entitled ‘My world, my footprints’, in which the famous woman reviews her career and personal life, Cruz goes back to the time of her school, the Sacred Heart of Cali, in where he remembers one of his hobbies in between their academic pursuits.

There, the presenter tells that she decided to be a cheerleader at the age of 13, as one of her elective classes. “I was 13 years old, I joined the school cheerleading team, which was the most famous in Cali thanks to Jimmy Aristizábal,” she says.
Her path through the group of cheerleaders came in a big way, as Carolina Cruz says that at the age of 14 she came to encourage América de Cali. “Jimmy had directed some choreography for the Pan American Games in Cali, then I had entered the school to direct us as cheerleaders and, for that reason, later I was a cheerleader of the America”, he added.
In turn, the famous added that one of her most important moments as a cheerleader was during a visit from Pele to promote the 1992 World Cup and launch some T-shirts. During the passage of the ex-soccer player from Brazil, Carolina Cruz received a ball autographed that, according to her, she committed the “foolishness” of giving it to a boyfriend at the time and with whom she was in love.
