The National Association of Journalists intends to sue Law 81 of March 26, 2019 on the protection of personal data, after the sanction with a fine of $1,000 to the digital media La Verdad, for allegedly violating the norm.

In that same sense, the journalist and former Minister of Education, Lucy Molinar, referred to said law vs. freedom of expression, asserting that the protection of a person’s data, their privacy, is sacred.

He stressed that in the journalistic profession, ethics has to lead you to seek the truth, rectitude and respect for the dignity of people.

In Molinar’s opinion, Antai has reacted emotionally to an issue that does not necessarily correspond to a violation of privacy.
