Alliana denies being involved in a money laundering investigation

Pedro Alliana, president of the Chamber of Deputies and legislator for Chartism, denied that he is blocking the formation of the Bilateral Commission on Money Laundering.

The head of the Lower House said that the media “distorted their expressions” to support Hugo Velázquez, presidential candidate for the Colorado ruling party.

“Basilio Núñez was the only one who called me to let me know that he was going to join the commission. No other bench did the same, I cannot force them to join the Bicameral”, he pointed out.

He affirmed that the note from the liberals who proposed Jorge Ávalos Mariño has not yet arrived, while the ruling party has not yet decided on his representative.
