The National Parks Administration reported this Monday that work continues to reopen the Devil’s Throat circuit of the Falls, after the flood of the Iguazú Riverand estimated that the main viewpoint of the sector will be enabled from this Wednesday.
After the gradual decrease that is currently observed in the flow of the upper Iguazú River, repair work on the footbridges of the Devil’s Throat Circuit continued in the Iguazú National Park for its reopening.
“Although the flow of the river registers a decrease in the level of its extraordinary flood, the safety conditions for the operators who carry out the tasks are decisive in that sector, so work is carried out in accordance with the safety protocols for carrying out of maneuvers”assured from National Parks.
They added that these tasks “are complex and are carried out close to the edge of the enormous drop in the Devil’s Throat waterfall, under conditions of strong water flow and permanent mist.”
Meanwhile, the rest of the tourist services in the protected area continue to function normally.
