Science is Everything Season ends with a special on the environment

On the eve of World Environment Day, celebrated on June 5, TV Brasil presents the latest unpublished edition of the second season of the program Ciência é Tudo. The special production with thematic articles will air this Saturday (4), at 9 am, on the public broadcaster’s screen.Science is Everything Season ends with a special on the environment

To celebrate the date, the theme is highlighted in a special report. The commemoration of the anniversary aims to encourage the development of new habits and foster transformative changes that make possible a less polluting, greener and more sustainable life.

System monitors climate change

The program also addresses the Adaptabrasil MCTI platform, which brings indices and risk indicators for the impacts of climate change in the country. The system contributes to the dissemination of knowledge through the analysis of increasingly integrated and updated information on the subject.

The technology allows users to access data and indicators that express possible impacts for different sectors such as water resources and energy security. The initiative involves researchers, civil society and the private sector.

The idea is to integrate information that was fragmented and arranged in several different databases. Now, the virtual environment concentrates the data in an organized and accessible way for public consultation.

With the intention of providing scientific support for strategic decisions, the platform was developed by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations in partnership with the National Education and Research Network (RNP) and the National Institute for Space Research (INPE).

Research on dwarf stars

Presented by Waldecir de Oliveira, the public broadcaster’s production also addresses a study led by Brazilian astronomers that involves dwarf stars. In the search for habitable worlds outside the solar system, researchers believe the best opportunities can be found around the smallest and coldest stars.

The last program Ciência é Tudo of the season also pays tribute to all those who work in favor of science, technology and innovation in the country. The attraction of TV Brasil highlights the work of professionals who work in this area and highlights the importance of scientific dissemination, which has great social relevance in the progress of society.

about the program

Since 2020, Ciência é Tudo presents information about the history of science, human inventions, curiosities and reflections on the impact of science and technology on people’s daily lives. It also addresses the news on investments and public policies for scientific promotion. The program is a partnership between TV Brasil and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI).

In its second season, the program is more dynamic and with new frames. The program continues with the mission of promoting scientific dissemination and helping the viewer to understand the science behind everyday phenomena.

In the first season, the program adapted to the needs imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, and addressed several topics related to the new coronavirus, such as research for the development of vaccines and equipment and the search for adequate treatment.

Science in everyday life has also inspired episodes on biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, engineering, cinema and astronomy, among other areas. Also, a trip to Maranhão showed details about the Alcântara Launch Center (CLA), in operation since 1989 to launch rockets.
