The scarcity of gasoil Every day it gets worse in the country, especially in the north, where the supply at service stations is limited, which has truck drivers stranded on the routes.
Added to this, the lack of gas today has the agricultural sector in suspense, since without gasoil the harvest of sugar cane, lemon and grains, such as soybeans and corn, are at risk.
According to the Argentine Federation of Freight Transport Business Entities (FADEEAC): Tucumán, Jujuy, Salta, Formosa, Misiones, Corrientes and Entre Ríos are the ones with the greatest shortage of gasoil currently.
Even carriers must travel to several service stations to load fuel, as in some there is no supply or they only sell a certain number of liters.
Although both the agricultural sector and the truck drivers have warned of this situation for months, when the lack of gasoil In much of the country, no immediate solutions are in sight at the moment.
For now, YPF issued a statement explaining that the current demand for fuel is the highest in the last 10 years and that “it has as a priority the supply of gasoil in the domestic market”.
Consequently, the company reported that it “closely follows the evolution of the supply of gasoil and it is working with each of the provinces, to be able to solve the specific problems that are being generated and to be able to reach each point of the country with its fuels”.

Faced with the sector’s complaint, the National Minister of Agriculture, Julián Domínguez, assured that the supply of the gas so as not to affect the harvest or the economy.
“We took the issue to the Cabinet meeting and the president also promised to find a solution. We are having difficulties, but it will not fail gasoil”, indicated the minister.
