The concern continues to increase for the inhabitants of Villavicencio, in Meta, due to the constant appearance of snakes in streets, houses and cars.
They specify that the appearance of these animals would be due to heavy rains and floods, a situation that is forcing them to seek refuge in higher and drier areas.
From the capital of Meta they have reported that so far there have been more than 20 cases where they report the appearance of snakes in various homes.
These animals normally come out in green areas and parks where there is an abundance of vegetation. The Canta Rana neighborhood, for example, is one of the most affected by what is happening.
What the experts say
Sebastián Bohórquez, an expert in wildlife from the Corporation for the Sustainable Development of the La Macarena Special Area, Cormacarena, commented that the places where these animals have been found have been in beds, furniture, refrigerators or air conditioners.
He assured that it should be reported before taking action against the animal, recommending taking a photo to find out if the species is poisonous or not.
After that, he explained that the pertinent authorities will proceed to arrive at the place to be able to solve the case with any animal.
